Terms & conditions

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These terms apply when you ask Sell My Toyota ("we", "us") for a valuation and when you sell a vehicle to us.

1. Valuations

1.1 Our offer is based on the information you give us about the vehicle, including its mileage, condition, history and any faults or damage.

1.2 A valuation is free and you are under no obligation to accept it.

2. Seven-day price hold

2.1 Once we have made you an offer, we will hold that price for seven days from the date we give it to you.

2.2 The price hold applies provided the vehicle, its mileage and its paperwork match what you told us, and that its condition has not changed in the meantime.

3. Collection and inspection

3.1 Collection from anywhere in the UK is free of charge. We will agree a collection time and place with you. If the vehicle is outside the UK, we will tell you before you accept whether we can collect it and on what terms.

3.2 On collection we will check the vehicle and documents. If the vehicle differs materially from your description, we will explain why and may offer a revised price. You are free to decline a revised price, in which case no sale takes place and there is no charge to you.

4. Payment and fees

4.1 We do not charge any fees, and nothing is deducted from the agreed price.

4.2 We pay you the agreed price on the day of collection, once the vehicle and documents have been checked.

4.3 Where there is outstanding finance on the vehicle, you must tell us before collection, and the sale cannot complete until the finance company confirms the vehicle is free of finance.

5. Your responsibilities

5.1 You confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle, or are authorised to sell it on behalf of the owner (for example, a company), and that you have the right to sell it.

5.2 You must tell us about any outstanding finance, known faults, accident damage, insurance write-off history and any mileage discrepancy.

5.3 You must provide the registration document (UK V5C, or for an unregistered off-road vehicle any proof of ownership you have), valid photo ID and all keys on collection, and remove personal belongings from the vehicle.

6. Cancelling

You can change your mind at any point before the vehicle is collected and payment is made, at no cost. We may also decline to buy a vehicle at any time before payment.

7. Use of this website

We try to keep the information on this website accurate, but it is for general guidance only. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
